Lucy in the sky is a rooftop restaurant and bar. Lucy serves contemporary bistro food along with an unique view on top of Accountor Tower, the historical landmark building towering over the area of Keilaniemi in Espoo.
Lucy's glass walls provide views to all directions showcasing the best of the Helsinki region from diverse urban landscapes to natural parks. If you move your gaze to the south you'll find the glistening quintessential Finnish archipelago. The restaurant has been built to reflect the spirit of the 70s and respect the work of Uolevi Raade to preserve the original spirit of the house.
Lucy serves lunch and dinner to both the tenants of the building and visitors alike. The airy space can be rented out for private functions and provides several cabinets and spaces that can be booked for bigger groups. Our Diamond Bar cabinet serves parties of 20-50 people, and the entire restaurant can rented up to 150 people. One of the glass terraces is also available for private events.
All visitors are welcome to pop by for a drink (or for five) inside the bar or on one of the terraces spreading out on both sides of the building and we promise you this, you won' t find a single bad seat in the house.
Contemporary bistro food
Lucy’s kitchen is run by one of its owners, head chef Richard “Riku” Sloan. Riku was born and raised in Boston, where he took his first steps in the restaurant industry.
His parents, intellectuals themselves, encouraged Riku to pursue an academic career, but his passion for cooking couldn’t be ignored. Still, thanks to his upbringing, Riku has always approached food from an academic perspective, tirelessly studying the history and methodology of the cuisines that caught his interest.
His first taste of Finland’s restaurant industry was in the kitchen of Chez Dominique, where he worked for free until he won them over with his dedication and skill and they hired him. For the past decade Riku has worked first within the BW franchise at Farang, Gaijin and Bronda, and more recently at Pastor. Although the style of cuisine has varied, Riku has always brought his care for quality ingredients, handcraft, and traditions into play with both food and staff.
At Lucy the whole teams’ goal is to make honest, delicious food showcasing their own unique style. The dishes are prepared using classic techniques and ingredients from around the world to create contemporary bistro food.
